Professor Nate Siegel wins R&D 100 Award

Professor Nate Siegel, mechanical engineering, was part of a team lauded with an R&D 100 Award from R&D MagazineAspiring to be the “Oscars of Invention,” R&D 100 Awards recognize milestones in innovation. Siegel is helping to develop a falling particle receiver for concentrated solar energy at Sandia National Laboratories as part of a team that includes researchers from Georgia Institute of Technology, King Saud University and the German Aerospace Center. The project is funded by a grant from the Department of Energy.
