Professor Neil Boyd, management, has done research on workplace dynamics and best managing and leadership practices, so he is often asked to comment on issues surrounding these subjects. In this article, Prof. Boyd comments on the disadvantages of harsh managerial criticism in the workplace. His comments are in response to a study, in which he was not involved, that recently came out suggesting that critical managers can spark creativity.
